Frédérick Castonguay joined Ardian in June 2022 as Associate Director. After obtaining his B.A.A. from the University of Quebec in Montréal in 1996, he began his career with State Street Canada, where he spent seven years in various investment-related roles, earning his CFA designation during the same period. He then pursued his career as a pension fund investment manager, first with Abitibi-Consolidated from 2004 to 2007, before joining Rio Tinto Alcan as Senior Director, Pension Fund Investments, until 2015, where he was responsible for assets under management totalling over $10 billion. From 2007 to 2015, he was also a member of the Board of Directors of Ivanhoe Cambridge, one of the world's leading real estate investors. Prior to joining Ardian, he held the position of Chief Investment Officer with his family's Blue Bridge office for seven years.
