Emmanuel Miquel

Co-Head of Buyout France & Managing Director

Emmanuel Miquel joined Ardian in 2014 as a Senior Investment Manager in Paris. Prior to joining Ardian, he was an Associate at BC Partners in Paris. Previously, he worked within the investment banking division of JPMorgan in London and Paris.

At Ardian, we help businesses reach their full potential on the global stage. We believe in building strong, lasting relationships and a prime example of this has been Kevin Guenegan, CEO and founder of AD Education. The company, a European leader in creative arts higher education, began as a family business.

Since our partnership in 2020, AD Education has seen remarkable growth. The company has expanded from 12 schools with 15,000 students to 20 schools with 42,000 students across nine different regions. We have supported this expansion through seven strategic acquisitions and played a key role in developing the company’s online platform, with the acquisition of Oktogone, which now makes up over 30% of its revenue.

Since the investment of Ardian in 2021, we have more than tripled the size of the company. I didn't think that the growth would be so strong, both organically and through selective and attractive acquisitions.

AD Education: A successful family buyout in France

Our partnership with AD Education began in 2020, expanding the creative arts platform from 12 to 19 schools and launching a successful online platform.

The Buyout team at Ardian have also collaborated closely with AD Education’s team to reorganize its structure, strengthen financial capabilities and recruit new talent. Looking ahead, the company aims to explore new territories and fields, such as engineering, management and other creative areas.

The next steps for AD Education and for us are simple. We are focusing on delivering growth and on execution. There is still a lot of value creation ahead of up. What I'm sure of is that the fundamentals of the business are strong and the next 5 to 10 years will be successful for AD Education.
